Scheduled Csection ladies--- stopping work?

If you are having a scheduled csection, when do you plan on stopping work? I've seen some posts like this, but it was all ladies waiting for labor.

I will be scheduled between 36 and 37 weeks. So I was debating working till the end, or stopping at the end of my 35th week.
(it may be too early for some of you to know if yours will be scheduled or not. Maybe I'll ask parenting if I get no responses)

thanks Chat Icon

I had twins so I might be different, but I was scheduled for 38 weeks. I actually had them at 36 weeks and worked up till 33 weeks and then put myself on bedrest because i could barely walk after that.

I kept telling myself I was going to work up till that week (38 weeks), but i was unable to do it.

I don't know how far along you are, but if you think you want to go to that week, tell work now that is your plan. Once you get closer to the time, you will figure it out. Sometimes the doctor won't let you go any further at work, sometimes you make the decision. I made my own decision, it would be really hard now to figure out what you want to do. My work was totally understanding especially on my last day when I was waddling around and they all thought i was about to give birth to the babies in the hallway!

I had a scheduled induction (6 days past my due date) and I worked until the day before. I'm also a dance teacher and put on 48 lbs. If you're feeling fine, I would work until the very end and save your maternity leave for after the baby is born.

I was scheduled at 39 weeks, and I made my First day of Maternity leave the Monday before (well actually it was the Tuesday before b/c the Monday was Memorial Day). I went in early anyway when I went into labour.Chat Icon

ETA: I was put on bedrest exactly one month before going into labour, b/c I was having late term bleeding because of the placenta previa.

I worked up until the day before my scheduled C/section. I made it to 38 weeks with twins!

Going to work kept me sane!
