Scheduled c-section ? for BTDT
Still undecided if I will try to VBAC or not, but I'm driving myself crazy with all the scenarios. Anyway, when did you scheudle your c-section for? With DS (breech) it was at 39 weeks. This baby is due Sept. 8th so 39 weeks would be right before Labor day weekend. I'm a little nervous to have it early since DS was only 6 lbs 8oz at that point (which isn't too small, but I wouldn't want to risk DD being any smaller then that), but maybe I just make small babies?!? LOL! The benefit of having her early would be that DS starts school Sept 12th so I'd be home from the hospital and able to go with DH to drop him on his first day.

My c/s was scheduled for 39 weeks. DS has other plans and decided to be ginormous at 35.5 weeks (9.5lbs) so they moved up my c/s to 37 weeks because they were worried about his size and the amount of fluid I was carrying. I had to have a amnio in order for them to do it before 39 weeks at Stony Brook. At 37 weeks he was 10.1 lbs

My story is just like Nicole's. Had c/s scheduled at 39 weeks and it was moved up to 37.5 weeks due to size (10-8)

mine was scheduled for 38 weeks and 6 days, i wound up going into labor though 10 days before my scheduled date though

I delivered at Winthrop. Unless you have an emergency medical issue or the health of the baby is compromised, I could not schedule my c-section until 39 weeks.
I scheduled it 1.5 months in advance. I was scared I would not be able to get the date I wanted.

My initial date was 39 weeks but I was carrying twins and my OB didn't expect me to go past 36 weeks. At 36 weeks they bumped it up to 38 weeks. At 37 week baby a showed little growth in 3 weeks so they did the c-section that night.

Thanks everyone. Looks like I might not have much say in the long run, but I guess I'll plan on 39 weeks for now.

I was hoping for a VBAC with my 2nd DD (which didn't happen ultimately), so my OB was going to schedule my c-section for 41 weeks. When the info came in the mail, she had actually scheduled me for my due date...so 40 weeks. I was too chicken to push it back the week, so there it remained and I never did go into labor.
With #3 I was scheduled for 39 weeks, 2 days.

39 weeks but had it at 38 weeks. Docs won't schedule before 39 weeks now.
