RockBand-Video Game
Anyone have it?
How is it?
How does it compare to guitar heros 3?
Is the guitar interchangeable between both games?

what system are you getting rockband for ps3 or xbox 360?
you can use the guitars for those systems that you use for guitar hero---BUT the difference on the guitars is that the one that comes with the rock band special edtion---has 10 fret buttons vs. the normal 5 on the guitars. the extra 5 buttons are located at the base of the neck--designed specifically for a new guitar solo section in the game.
from what i've seen and played--the game play is very similar to that of GH3....however the experience is much more intense for rock band. you can play just as one member of a band with one instrument---at home---or you can go online and hook up with ppl around the world and be part of a band online. if you get the entire kit with drums, microphone and guitars...you can have up to 4 ppl playing at the same time!
the drums are hard--no doubt....the guitar is the same as guitar hero--and the vocals are cool.
this can be a rather addicting game!

I was in Sams the other day and they had a ton of them for XBox 360. I don't know much about it though. My sister bought it for her kids for xmas. She mentioned they are having a big problem with the guitar strings snapping off though, but they will send replacement ones.

wow, my DH is a drummer and likes hard rock. I bet he would love something like this since he doesnt get to play with his band much anymore.

guitar strings? there are no strings on the guitars. do you mean the fret buttons? i don't see how they would snap off and then receive replacement ones. are you sure she bought rock band? none of the guitars for guitar hero or rock band have actual strings at all

Yup, I'm sure that's what she bought. I have no idea what she was talking about then. I have to admit, I was only half listening though, but I really thought she said the strings, who knows! I'm sure the various sites that have reviews on them mention the issue (whatever it is!)
