Restaurant in Staten Island?
I'm meeting my best friend for lunch today in Staten Island. Does anyone know of a good chinese place that's close to the mall?

Yes, the restaurant in the mall is pretty good, or you could try Jade Island, its in the K-mart mall, about a block away

There's one in the mall?? Where? Or is the one you're tlaking about by the Carvel? If so, didn't that close down? I loved that one!

There's a restaurant called East (I think, it's been awhile) in the mall that's really good. It's on the lower level, I think near Macys.

There is a Panera there now...as well as a Fridays, Outback and Carrabas all in that shopping center.

Coles Dockside (off Hylan Blvd and Cleveland Ave - I think) Armory Inn (Manor Road) The Manor House (Manor Road and Jolden Blvd) La Candella (Amboy Road) Miako (Forest Ave & Richmond Ave)
Yes, we eat out a lot  Enjoy!

not so close to the mall, but 10 minutes away on New Dorp Lane there are two good Chinese restaurants.
I love Coles as well.
And, I am a Bistro girl on Hylan. Love their food and drinks, always was a good night out.

Oriental Plaza- right outside the mall by Babies R Us - I personally think this is one of the best Chinese resturants on SI
You can also try Pan East, which is more of a Pan-Asian (Thai) restaurant inside the mall by the Macys wing.
I can name a bunch of others, but they aren't as close to the mall as these.

Thanks girls - we went to the one in the mall on the recommendations here- it was REALLY good! I would definitely go back again.
And my FAVE place WAS Oriental Plaza until they shut down - I was so disappointed.
