DH and I actually are getting one once the kitchen is done. We are making a little sitting area around it, for cocktails on cold nights.
But, pellets are going up in price. It's basically just paper.

let me know where you are getting it, i have only saw 2 diffeant ones and really not that nice looking. the bages i saw of pellets looked like rabbit food and it was 7 and change for i think a 10 lb bag
os. mine will be going in the dining room if i decide to actually get one

We have one. It came with the house, so I don't know what the cost was. We absolutely LOVE it. We got to use it the other night for the first time since last year. I just adore how much cozier it makes the house. It's been our primary source of heat (we have oil$$$$$ so we tend to use the pellet stove more).
We have a large basement and buy our pellets by the TON (cheaper that way).

The brand is "Whitfield". And ironically- the pellets look like rabbit food.....

Just make sure your home owners insurance company knows about the stove, because if something happens and their is a fire, they will not cover you. The man from the insurance company that inspected the house told us that

scott thank you i did not know that!!!, i might not get it now because if they raise my home owners i will not be able to affored it. i will call them and ask how much it will go up
