Repost from BHB-EMERGENCY!!!! I can't get in touch with our hairdresser for tomororw!!!
Tomorrow I'm in my friends wedding and I'm supposed to get my hair done at 8:30AM and I haven't heard back from my hairdresser yet! She was supposed to come to my house to do myself and my other friend who are both in the wedding.
WE ARE FREAKING OUT since I last spoke to her on Monday and I was supposed to call to confirm everything today and I haven't heard back.
We are both hair challenged and there is NO WAY we can do our own hair.
WHAT THE HECK CAN WE DO????
We're in New Hyde Park and where can we go anywhere in Nassau County/Suffolk to get our hair done????????
We don't want to freak out the bride either.
ALSO: if anyone can help me or knows someone that can... I'll pay $$$$$$$$$$ for this!!! I'm seriously desperate!!

Since I don't know too many salons open on a Sunday, my only suggestion is to try a Lemon tree and get it straightened.

Ok...do you have reason to think she wont show???
I hope for your sake she does!!
I cantoffer much, but the morning of my wedding my step Mom assumed my hair girl was doing her hair..she wasnt and had somewhere to be and couldnt...she ran to the salon down the block, told them and they fit her in.
If this happens, call the closest 3 salons and ask them...Im sure someone if you expalin its a wedding can do your hair.

yeah straightened is good too..but a LOT of places are open on Sunday, mine is.
ALSO- What about the persons doing the brides hair? Can you call the brides MOM or someone else and find out if they can fit you two in as well?

YOU will find something...try not to freak!!
Can you do anything youself? Straighten it or curl it with a curling iron?

I don't even own a curling iron.
Right now i"m looking up salon #'s.
Bride wants our hair up and I can't even put my hair in a ponytail!

Ok, I know this sounds crazy, but you mentioned you were in NHP. There used to be a lemon tree on Jericho Tpke next to Mr. Ribbon. The store is still there but I dont think it is called Lemon Tree anymore (I dont know the name-sorry). BUt the owners name is Carol, she works there all of the time, and 8 years ago she did my hair and everyone in my bridal party the morning of my wedding. She did a great job, (and was super cheap too). Good luck
