releived... another ok observation today!
i'm a speech therapist at an elementary school. got observed today.
the group was 3 special needs kids. It started off kind of bad because the one kid had a toy coin and kept saying " I flip to see who goes first? I flip to see who goes first?"
i asked him to put it in his pocket and he still didnt listen. so I said "ok- we'll let everybody have a chance to flip it, and then i'll take it and put it on my desk". so once I let him flip it once, he was ok and was able to focus on the rest of the lesson and it went smoothly from there.
now i have 2 more for the year- and i can't wait until i have tenure and only get observed once a year!

It sounds like you really handled it well, and I'm sure the observer realized that! Congrats!!
It's SO nice to only be observed one time a year!!

Excellent! Isn't it the best feeling when it's over and done with?
This is my first year of only one observation- woohoo!!! What a relief to be past three a year!
