Registering...doing research...so overwhelming!

Now that we know we're having a girl, I've started to do research on strollers, play yards, car seats, etc. I'm totally overwhelmed!!

Does anyone have any advice to make this easier?

I used the reviews on BRU/amazon.com a lot and the Baby Bargains book was helpful too.

I used the baby bargain book. I also took my cousin who is a mom of 3 kids. I think she was the most helpful!

I agree, baby bargains and the reviews on BRU (but I take those with a grain of salt, people seem to either rave or hate the product, there's rarely someone who likes it but doesn't love it). I also used Consumer Reports reviews for things like the stroller and car seat where I was really concerned with safety.

I also wanted to add that in regards to the playpens, I have a Graco one at my house, my mom has a Graco, my dad has an Evenflo and ILs have a Baby Trend and they all seem the same to me. They all seemed to be of very similar construction and quality. Sarah has slept in all of them just as well as she does her own crib. Some have different "extras" than others which is really what the difference seems to be to me.

I plan on using my sister...she's done if 4 times already and I trust her opinion. Sometimes talking with moms that have used a bunch of the stuff helps.
