Registering for Pre-school
I had to sign Aidan up for preschool today, for Sept 2007 I can't believe I have to do this already...
For the 3 yr olds they have two programs - 2 days for 2.5 hrs per day OR 2 days for 6 hrs per day.
I signed him up for just the regular 2.5 hr session, but am wondering maybe the "full day" might be good for him. Any BTDT moms utilize the extended pre-school hours?
Thanks

I have just started looking into this. Our baby boys are growing up. I am going to ease Andrew into any program. I think 6 hours away might be too much for him too soon.

Re: Registering for Pre-school
i signed my dd up for prek last year. i had the option of 2.5 hours a day for 5 days a week. or an all day program for 5 days a week. i went with the 2.5 hour program. i choose that so i could "ease" her into the process of school. then next year for kindergarten she will be going all day. but for her first year i wanted to start her off slowly.

I just signed my DD up too. They didnt offer that at her school but I wouldnt do the full day even if they did. Too young IMO. hey do offer 5 days a week (2 1/2 hours) but I signed her up for 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hours. It was perfect for my son last year so I am comfortable with the decision.

I agree, in my case, 5 hrs a week is perfect for my dd. Full day would have been way too long since she has been home with me so far and not in daycare. I think it'll be a nice transition into kindergarten as she gets older.
