Recommend your toy box

I need something more practical than pretty. I love the wood ones, but I feel like she's going to close her fingers in it. I was thinking a more durable plastic type one?

What do you use for your toys?

Re: Recommend your toy box

This is what we use...
One for the basement and one for the bedroom.

The one in the bedroom is a beige color so it sort of matches the room and the basement one is gray.

toy box

We have this one but in a different color. I love it. It is soooooo roomy inside and I love the baskets underneath for all the small stuff. I also like that it's wood and the cover comes off it you want. I highly recommend it!

Re: Recommend your toy box

I have this one that Joenick made! I bought it from here toy boxes and I had it shipped directly to Val. She put it together for me and painted it. DD loves to open and close it and she can't catch her fingers in it because there is a space and door closers so that it can't slam down.

Re: Recommend your toy box

I have a wooden one from BRU. I worried too about Marron pinching her fingers, but I really don't see how it can happen. First, it doesn't close by itself. You have to push the top down to close it -- it has these "hinge" type things that prevent it from closing on its own. Also, there is a space between the top and the front so if her fingers are there and she closes it, the top won't be on her finger. We went with this one because we have it in our living room and we wanted it to "blend" with our furniture.

From my experience, with the plastic ones I've seen, the top closes by itself if the child isn't holding it up, so I would be more afraid of those pinching fingers, heads, etc. It could just be the ones my nephew had years ago. Maybe the newer ones are different.
