recommend your ipod
i'd like to get dh an ipod for christmas... he's never had one, and all i have is a little original shuffle, so i'm clueless. i don't want to spend more than $300 (i have no idea how much they even cost). also, best place to buy? tia

Is he big on music where he needs alot of memory?
if not, Id get him an itouch.. so much more than just a ipod.. he can play games, watch movies, stream music, etc.

I have to second the ITouch- I love mine and can't live without it... all the apps and games are so much fun! The newest one I heard comes with a camera too.

I think it depends on how much your DH likes music vs. games. I first got the shuffle for my DH because he's not too computer savvy and I wasn't sure if he would even use it. But, he's a music buff and he had it full within a week. I then got him the classic which he loves. I have offered to get him the itouch but he's not interested cause he's all about the music and how many songs he can fit on his ipod.

i personally love my zunehd for music as i can pay 1 low monthly rate to download almost unlimited amount of songs onto my player. each month, im able to purchase 10 songs for free too!
there are not alot of apps but music wise, its really good.
zune has hd radio, wifi internet access and can output hdmi onto your tv.

he's never had an ipod, so i'm not sure how much music he will put onto it... i know that my shuffle, for example, does not nearly hold enough songs. i want something for him with much more space for music than that. but the idea of him being able to play games and stuff too - i think he'd like that. does the itouch have a lot of room for music as well?
