Recommend toys for 7 mo old boy
DS will be 7 months soon and I don't know what kind of toys he should play with. I have a feeling that he is getting bored with the toys we have here. We live in a 1 bedroom apt so I can't have anything big.

What about the LeapFrog Learn & Groove™ Musical Table? The legs come off so its not too big.
My two 10 mths olds love it. They used to play with it on the floor when they were younger and now that they are standing I put the legs on it and they stand and play by themselves.
Their other favorite toy is a fisher price gumball machine (BIG plastic gumballs of course.) It has lights and music and entertains them for a while.

The Fisher Price Lil Zoomers Speedway
Fisher Price Laugh N Learn workbench (This one right now is his "go to" toy) It plays music, counts, ABC's, etc..

We got it at around 10m, but we should have gotten it sooner, and DS still plays with it at 15m, and I expect to get even more use out of it. Its a lot of fun to crawl through.
Very soon you'll find your LO obsessed with openeing and closing doors, this thing is great for that. A door, a window that goes up and down, and a mailbox that opens and closes. Great for hiding things and peekaboo. The balls DS was obsessed with and still is.
The sound on ours never worked and we never heard the sounds, but DS loves it anyway, and we never bothered to fix it. That's how good this toy is.

a simple music set - doesnt take up much room. I bought one at walmart for around $20 and it had a tamborine, marracas, recorder, and a drum. Its DD favorite toy!

Honestly, at about this age, DS got bored quickly with store bought toys. The exception are those books that sing when you touch parts of them.
We started giving him new "toys" all the time. We filled up an empty, washed 2L pepsi bottle with a little bit of water. We gave him a tea spoon. We started putting some stuffed animals in a drawer (that he started to pull open at about 8 months). He likes to play with spices (sealed containers) and small boxes of rice.
These "toys" are cheap (free) & don't take up any space.

They also have the Speedway and love that too!
