Recomend Your Rewards Credit Card That is Not Amex
I have had an Amex card for a few years and was pretty happy until I had to dispute a charge that didn't go my way. I am now forced to sue the company in small claims court.
Regardless, after this experience I will never hold an Amex card again (nevermind pay $150 a year for the privilege). Anyway, I get offers all the time and just rip them up. But, now would like to know what card you have and why. I don't need airline miles and would like store and/or restaurant rewards. Any ideas???

I have an HSBC cash or fly card - every purchase gives you points to use in any matter you want!

I have Chase rewards and it's pretty good. They have lots of stores and restaurants to choose from. DH has citibank and he was able to get Best Buy gift cards.

I have this. LOVE it. (although I have to say when I have the amex points I get to use them quicker - I know you don't want that though)

We have a Disney card and use it for everything - we had our Honeymoon at Disney and were able to buy 6 days of Hopper passes for both of us all with our Disney points - and we still had some leftover for shopping and food

I have a Macy's Visa. I get $10 gift certificates to use in Macy's all the time. I don't even know what i have to spend to get them. I was doing the bills last month and noticed one then I went through the old bills and found some more.

I have a capital one no hassle card that i receive points for every purchase...and I can turn them in for cash or use them for whatever i want....with no penalities or fees

We have a Citibank Dividend card where we get a check for a 1 or 2% of our spend depending on the store. You get a max back of $300 a year on it. We pay everything on the card, including utilities so that we max out the reward.
We also have a the Driver's Edge card for money towards most car manufacturers.

I also have a Discover card that gives 5% back on all gasoline and car related purchases. Everything else is 1% back.

I love my Hilton Amex, they make a Visa too I think. You get Hilton Points, which we use for vacations to pay for the hotels.

I have that too. And I think now if you pay your card in full for like 6 monhts you get the finance fee in cash as an incentive.
