Really Red/Rosy cheeks--Teething?

Hi guys,
Do you know if red/rosy cheeks and chin are symptoms of teething. I think Matteo is getting a tooth, it looks like one is almost coming through, and just a few minutes ago his cheeks and chin got reallly red. Did this happen with anyone else's babies when they were teething? I'm just a worried first-timer. Chat Icon

Thank you!

ETA: Or maybe an allergic reaction?

I dont know, but my son seems to be teething too and there is redness around his chin and near the corners of his mouth. I go to the ped. tommorow so I'll ask then.

Lauren has been like that a lot lately. She was just at the pedi today for her well visit and we were told its just sensitive skin and to keep it really moist with aquafor. I thought she might be teething too because Andrew got his first tooth by the end of October, but she isn't yet.

Luka has the same thing and I think it is because of the cold weather. At first it was dry but I put so much cream that now it is not dry just red.

Christopher's cheeks used to get red when he was teething. That was always the first sign for me that he was getting a new tooth.
