Really Bad Mommy Day
So I'm in the grocery store today and I looked over at those full of junk lunchables and thought okay DS wants that for his field trip so I should get him one. Then I realize his field trip was TODAY!! I cannot believe I forgot! Ugh! I called the school and asked the office what happens when a student doesn't have a lunch for a field trip and she said she didn't know, but someone would probably share their lunch with him. I can't imagine the teacher would let him starve, but I feel really bad that he is going to be the kid without a lunch. I feel horrible, I was actually crying about it

Aw, I'm not a mom yet, but I'm sure things like this happen all the time. Don't beat yourself up. I'm sure he's on the trip and having a great time!! You can just treat him to a special dinner or snack at another time. And who knows, there could be other kids who didn't have a lunch with them too. I'm sure the teacher wouldn't let them go without eating!

He said the teacher realized he didn't have a lunch before they left and the lunch lady packed him one in a brown bag with all kinds of stuff in it. So it worked out, but I still feel bad. I took him to Toys R Us as a little make up thing to pick out a toy. He said "mom I don't need anymore toys, I think I have too many already" 
This made me realize that I really need to be more on top of things though. Kids have really made me sooo forgetful!!

Remember the teacher's thank you note for Monday!
I once read a birthday invitation wrong & we missed the party. DS still hasn't forgotten that one.
