Yesterday I got a call saying that I got a leading role in Cosi Fan Tutte this summer. I could not be more happy but I do feel a little guilty because Cadence will be 2 months old when I do the opera. My family says they will help me of course I just feel bad. Should I??

Where are you doing the opera? (Just being nosey from one musician to another )
Don't feel guilty, but be prepared to not be on the ball as much as you were before baby.
I am a professional flutist and I have found that it is taking me a LONG time to get back into the swing of things in terms of playing. I don't know why. Maybe it's just me
Anyway, don't feel guilty. You still have personal and professional aspirations after becoming a mommy, and that's great.
