rash-blisters? sores on butt?
So jacen is getting a rash 2 sores it appears on his butt. Or potential blisters. I don't know. One is big and one is tiny. The big one just appeared today.
What is this from? anyone know?
the only thing different lately is we've been trying to wean him from the zantac and give him maalox in the am instead.
ETA: i should also add he's had some diarrhea for the past week or so.

Sounds like it might be fungal. I would swing by the ped's office so he/she can have a look. My DD has a rash with raised bumps and it is fungal. She is on Nystatin ointment now.

Not sure. My DD had a diaper rash and happened to go to the ped for her 12m appt yesterday. He looked at it and said the raised bumps are a sign that it is a fungal infection. I didn't ask how she got it, I just assumed it was from sitting in poo too long- even though she gets changed at the first smell of it/many times per day.
Dr. Sears can explain it better than me!  Diaper Rash
