Raccoons won't stop tipping my garbage pails over
and making the biggest mess!!!! What can I do to stop this. I'm sooooo tired of them waking me up at 3am (I hear them tip the cans) and then having to clean up nasty garbarge in the morning.
I already have a bungee cord across the top. It does work sometimes....

If you do that enough they might move on to someone elses house

I would invest in one of those outdoor small garbage sheds. You keep the cans in those and won't have any more animal problems.

My husband puts bricks and or wood on top of the cans. They haven't been able to knock them down.

Here you go. I just typed in outdoor storage and narrowed it from there. You might have other options at Home Depot or even Ace.

especially if I know there is food in there.
