Quick update on Kaylee...
We brought her to the Cardiologist for her murmur and she had to get an EKG and a sonogram. Trying to get her to hold still was a bit difficult, but overall, she was very good. She has Bilateral Peripheral Pulmonary Stenosis (PPS) and Aortic Istamic Narrowing. Both very common and usually work themselves out in time. She just has to be monitered until then and if she ever needs surgery (god forbid!) or dental work, she just has to have an antibiotic beforehand. And, as if we hadn't put her through enough torture yesterday, we also got her ears pierced. Her ped. recommended going to the mall and we had a wonderful experience. Her ears look so cute! We went to the Piercing Pagoda in the Smithhaven mall. They explained everything to me carefully, the wore gloves and sanitized everything right in front of me, they marked her ears and let me make sure they were even and then they pierced both ears at the same time. She cried exactly like she's cried with her shots and has been perfectly fine ever since. I'm glad that the doctor recommended going, because it was significantly cheaper and these people DO pierce a lot more ears.
ETA: They also gave an ear care booklet and cleaning alcohol. I just had to pay for the cost of the earrings.

No problem! There was a very big selection. They recommended using 14 karats and at least a 3mm earring. She said any smaller might go through the hole. They put rounded backs on the earrings for comfort when she sleeps.
Like I said, you only pay for the cost of the earrings. They're priced ranged from like $7-70. We ended up paying $30 total. Her earrings are a cute little diamond stud. Our ped said that if we had gotten it done at the office that it would have been at least $75 and we only would have had two pairs of earrings to chose from. The Piercing Pagoda had (if I had to guess) a good 50 pairs to chose from.
