Quick Jones Beach concert question- cameras
Can you take cameras into a concert? Like a nice, big camera, not my camera phone.
TIA 
The website I found says you CAN bring portable cameras, but CANNOT bring professional cameras. Mine isn't professional, but it's an SLR so it's big. Thoughts?

i haven't had any issues taking in my DSLR, but do NOT bring any type of zoom lens or tripod (even a gorillapod).

You mean I can't bring the 55-200 lens I have for the camera? Just the 18-55 basic one?

I think she is talking about those zoom lenses like in sporting event that require a tripod. They are 1 foot long or so.

It's interesting you ask this. I went to the Motely Crue and STP concert this summer and they searched my entire purse and found my digital camera and it's a tiny handheld one and they stated I couldn't bring it in.
I pretended to go back to my car and went to a diff line the next time and hid the camera in my extra purse pocket on the inside and got in without any issues - camera and all!
