Questions to ask at first visit?
So as you alllllll know, I have my first Dr. visit today. I am so wrapped up in just seeing the baby that I know I am going to forget to ask questions.
Please help me make a list of questions to ask my doctor!

what foods you can and cannot eat
what medicines you can and cannot take
expected schedule of tests/appointments (not dates, just ballpark estimates)
is there an OB nurse line you can call and ask random questions of? if so - what is the number
which hospital they are affiliated with?

Yay for today!  I only had a few for the first visit and some were on the silly side but I asked anyway. Just to find out what your doc things about certain things... decaf teas (a lot of people told me there were teas I should or shouldn't drink), could I use my car seat heater (he said yes), heating pad because my back hurt (said yes, only in the back, not too high and not too long), getting my hair done (wait until 2nd tri) and getting pedicures (yes, okay). And I think that was it for my first visit.
I keep a pad on the fridge to write questions for my next appt. The further I get, the more I have!
Have fun! Can't wait to see LO! 
ETA: Oh yeah, I also asked if it was okay to take regular strenght Tylenol for my back?

Weight gain per month/week
Insurance questions- one payment or pay for every visit.
Do they do U/S in the office or do you have to go elsewhere.
What tests will I undergo and when

how many ultrasounds?
what to eat / not eat?
how many mg of folic acid is enough?
schedule the nuchal translucency (1st trimester screening - if you want one)
when is the level II
do they do u/s (including the level II) on site or off-site
