Question re: closing dates

I am beyond frustrated with my mortgage broker- there may actually be steam coming from my ears right now.

My question is this- is it normal for bank attorneys to NOT WORK on Fridays?!?!?!

Seems to me that Friday would be a pretty popular day for closings... I guess for all BoA loans on LI, no one could ever close on a Friday?

Does this seem odd to anyone else?

I am basically looking for some fuel to my anger- I'm going to call this jackass at 10 when he strolls into his office...

Re: Question re: closing dates

Is your broker saying that ALL bank attorneys don't work on Fridays - or that the one he is using is off this Friday?

If he's saying that they don't work on Fridays at all - he is out of his mind.

Re: Question re: closing dates

Chat Icon I would question him...we closed on a Friday also...the Friday in the middle of the horrible snow/ice storm in March.....

Is Pi telling you this?

ETA: At this point...we no longer were talking to Pi. Pi had NOTHING to do with our closing date. At this point our lawyer was in contact with the bank attorney...(totally forgot his name)
Tell your attorney to get on the move...

Re: Question re: closing dates

He is saying that his attorney he is using is off on all Fridays- that's ABSURD to me!
Let alone that we have been talking about closing this Friday for WEEKS now, and I confirmed the date yesterday with him - then we find out THIRD PARTY that it's no good! he told our lawyer (Victors friend)- "Vic and Lauren are under the impression that theyre closing this Friday, but my bank attorney doesn't work Fridays".
Ummmm... information that could have possibly been useful to ME!?

Ugh- idiot.

See my Edited post above...you shouldn't even be working with Pi...

I think the bank attorney's name was Jeff Roberts...or something like that. Your lawyer should only be speaking with him now. Pi should have been cut out a long time ago.

Re: Question re: closing dates

Is it an absurd request that they use a duifferent attorney?
Or is this something only the guy that has been working on it can do?

Jeff Roberts- that's right!
Where did I get J Harmon from...

Re: Question re: closing dates

OK- I left a VM for Mike (attorney). He should know that he needs to talk to Jeff Roberts directly, so hopefully he will update me soon...
If we push to next week, that's OK, bc even though we have a heft interest bill at closing, our first mortgage payment wont be due until July. If we could close tomorrow, we would have an extra full weekend to start getting some work done.
i just need an f ing answer!
