Question for Verizon IPhone Users
We are headed to Costa Rica this coming weekend and I was wondering if anyone knows what the per minute rates are to call the U.S.

You need to call Verizon Wireless to have your phone configured to allow you to call when you are there.

I was able to make calls from St. Martin without having to call Verizon to set that up...
To the OP - I am not sure how much it was, but a few calls to DH while I was away didn't break the bank. If you plan to use it A LOT, I would call Verizon for a rate.

Call and have verizon verify everything - because they have different plans now for that. Plus you might need to turn off your data so that you don't get charged an arm and a leg in roaming charges.

You need to check your phone to see if it will connect if you are roaming. Even though you are not on the phone, if you keep checking for emails and other data services automatically, you will get a surcharge for not using a us based tower.
If you can connect wi-fi, i would just make a skype call.
