Question for the ladies who get's the uv gel on their nails?

I had it done 2 weeks ago and paid alot of $$ for it. I figured it would last me longer than having them silk wrapped like I had before I this done. Well the very next day after I had them done I noticed cracks in 3 of my nails and now that it is almost 2 weeks, 6 of them have cracks. They did not put a silk layer underneith so it is just my nail, except for one because it was so short and even that one cracked. Only the gel is cracked not the nail. Is this normal? I am not the hard on my nails either. I also can't believe how much my nails have grown in 10 days! I thought I would be able to go atlest until 3 weeks without a fill in but they will look horrible.

I would go back to the nail salon and complain. maybe they'll give you a discount next time

Definitely. Maybe they will redo it for free.

Not normal at all!! Go back and request a new set with a different manicurist.

BTW, they don't use silk with UV Gel bonding. It should be all gel. If a nail is too short, they'll use a temporary plastic mold to put the gel on to create an extension of your nail.

I had a feeling that wasn't suppose to happen.

Apparently only 3 out of the 9 girls their only do the uv gel. 2 of the girls I do not like how they did my regular fill-ins (un even and wide). I then found a girl a I love their but she doesnt do the uv. It didnt look like a hard process to do to begin with.

How much would a fill in be? This place I think charges $30 or $40 which I think is alot but I am not sure what the going rate is.

I think I might just go somewhere else because I do not want to spend that money again for this to happen. I dont think they will offer me a discount of some sort since I waited so long.

How long do you go between the fill-ins?
