Question for BFing moms
When did you, or when do you plan on weaning? And for those who have, did your have any problems introducing formula to your little one? I plan on weaning in March, but I'm wondering if I should introduce a little formula here and there so she doesn't totally reject it when we start weaning...

I am weaning her now. She eats 5 times a day so I have her on 3 bottles of formula and I breastfeed her twice.
I always gave her one bottle of formula from day one though. Then slowly I have been introducing the others (so it doesn't bother her system and I don't get engorged).
I also pump once a day and freeze that milk - once I am totally done nursing I will feed her that milk once a day for another 2-3 months.
I think I will be done nursing her around 4 months or so...I am not sure. I am not going to totally wean her until I am 100% sure I am ready to stop.

I plan to wean around her first birthday and to go straight to whole milk.
I think the only rule is to try to wean gradually for your own comfort -- not only engorgement but for shifts in hormones.

Thanks Marissa  I would LOVE to nurse to her one year mark, but it's just not feasible considering I'm an attorney and in and out of court most days... finding time to pump is VERY difficult, though I'm making it work. I made a goal for myself to keep pumping until she hits 6 months... which is in March.
