Question for BDTD moms who BF

When did you start cereal? Also is that when you started to ween?
I really want to try & BF, but I just want an idea of the timeline that I can try & follow.

Unfortunately, I didn't get that far, but my friend did (and still does) - she started cereal the same time - around 4 months. She is continuing breastfeeding until the baby is a year old.

I started cereal around 5 months. I had a 1 yr goal and stuck to it. I pumped at work. If I couldn't pump at work I would have formula fed when I wasn't with him and BF the times I was.

I stopped when he was 14 months old.

I'm breastfeeding and not planning on starting solids until after 6 months.

I am still BF. DD is 13 months. I started her on solids at 6mths.

I started cereal around 4 1/2 months and BF until almost 11 months and then switched to whole milk cold turkey.

I've been EBF since day 1 and just started her on cereal. She is 6mths.

I BF for 4 months, started to wean her at 3 months, i hated pumping and going back to work i couldn't continue to feed her.

At PEd's rec. we started cereal at 6 months.

I BFd (supplemented with formula) until DS was a year old. We tried cereal at 4 months but fed it more regularly at 5 months.

DS is 11 months, started cereal at about 5 months and still BFing.

Most people start anywhere between 4-6 months. A lot of drs recommend waiting until 6 months.

I started cereal at 6 months. I'm still BFing at 23 months, but once she started eating lots of solids the number of times a day of BFing decreased.

I BF Damien till he was 22 months. He started cereal at 4 months. I am still BF Jaidyn and might start cereal later with her. She does not need to nurse as much as Damien did so I may wait past the 4 months.

bf for 1 year did a slow transition to milk and did ok. we started cereal at 5 months.

My goal was a year too. I stopped at 11.5 months with my first one.

I introduced cereal too late in the game and he had gagging issues because of it. I want to say about 7 months for the intro to cereal.
