Re: Question: Finding out the gender

He didn't want to cooperate but thank goodness we had a patient tech.

After trying to get him to move the tech made me go to the bathroom and pee. Although I didn't have much to go it seemed to do the trick and we were able to get a good enough shot to know there was a penis there Chat Icon

I did what others suggested and drank a tall glass of OJ.....didn't do a thing.

But, I am convinced I have the laziest child known to man Chat Icon Hopefully that will be a good thing when he comes out and will be an easy baby! Chat Icon Although I suppose it could go the opposite way too.

Re: Question: Finding out the gender

Chat Icon Nope - and she didn't cooperate TWICE!! Chat Icon

I was determined to find out the gender the firs time b/c I was going to register with my Mom. I was so upset when I didn't find out. I was convinced I would find out for the next appointment..... that didn't happen either Chat Icon

Re: Question: Finding out the gender

With DC#1, he did not cooperate so we had to go back to get better pics of the 4 chambers of the heart. (Although mind you, we didn't want to know the gender, so I don't know if the tech was able to see that or not)

With DC#2, I had no problems (and we did find out the gender with her).Chat Icon

Re: Question: Finding out the gender

She cooperated nicely spreading 'em wide at the sonogram at which we had the amnio. DH is hoping she keeps her legs closed from here on in as he is having one heck of a time getting a carry permit for a shotgun.

Re: Question: Finding out the gender

Totally cooperated. So much so that as soon as the tech turned on the sono machine, she yelled out "Whoa, it's a boy!"

Re: Question: Finding out the gender

Nope not on the 1st one and not on the 2nd one either really. On our 2nd sono (at 22 weeks) the tech guessed, but we ended up paying for a 3D/4D sono a couple of weeks later to confirm.

Re: Question: Finding out the gender

My Chat Icon cooperated where the tech could see, but she wouldn't sit still enough to get a picture to "prove" it Chat Icon . That was at 21 weeks.

We had to go for another U/S the next week because her acrobatics also kept them from getting clear pictures of her heart. When we were back, they peeked again and were certain it was a Chat Icon and printed a picture that time.

Re: Question: Finding out the gender

Yes, thankfully, she did. I drank OJ and had some M&M's about an hour before the appt. to make sure she was active and ready to reveal herself Chat Icon

Good luck!

Re: Question: Finding out the gender

My son was very proud to show off his goods, he spread his legs and bam! Every sono after that he made sure we got a glimpse of the jewels.

Re: Question: Finding out the gender

Yep, both cooperated. If the baby isn't moving around enough -cough a few times and that helps to make them moveChat Icon .

ETA: I had another sonogram today and sure enough, he showed his goods again, spread eagle!!

Re: Question: Finding out the gender

when i went for my amnio, she wouldnt cooperate during the sono, so they couldnt tell us if it was a boy or girl. we found out like 10 days later when we got our amnio results.
