Question about horrible sleepers...

Those of you that had horrible sleepers, when did it get better where they slept good at night.

Last night Paige was up all night again. Im a zombie and I dont know why she doesnt sleep. Its driving me nuts. What is also horrible is that i go back to work soon. Im not gonna be able to make it on 2 hours sleep when i go back to work.

Re: Question about horrible sleepers...

Luca didn't start sleeping better until about 3 months. Then he was "only" waking up 2 times a night. Now at almost 5 months he's sleeping through the night. But the smallest disruption to his schedule throws him off for days. I don't know where DD is sleeping but we found he started sleeping better in his own crib, and also on his belly. We also keep to a very strict schedule with only a variance of up to a half hour. He flurishes on a schedule. He's happier when he's awake and sleeps much better. He eats dinner (cereal and a bottle) at 6:30, is sleeping by 7 and has been sleeping anywhere from 4-7:30am. The past two nights he's been sleeping until ATLEASt 7am.

Re: Question about horrible sleepers...

DD was a horrible sleeper up until about 2 months. Before 2 months the longest she would sleep was MAYBE 3-4 hours at a time during the night if I was lucky. Around 2 months she started sleeping from about 10 or 11 pm until 5 or 6 am. Then at 3 months she started going from about 8 or 8:30 pm till 7 am, with only getting up about once or twice a night for a pacifier. It wl lget better- trust me! And I didn't believe ANYONE when they told me that!!!! {{HUGS}}

Re: Question about horrible sleepers...

hehe - a year for my son!! Well he was fine - normal typically baby stuff until 3 months...slept thru the night from 3-5/6 months and then after that it got worse. I have to assume teething (because dr attributed it to that but he didn't get teeth until 13.5 mos old even though started teething at 6 months) but it was worse than the baby days. I found that time much worse then the baby stuff because he could be up for hours at a time!! Schedule didn't work here!! He is the most scheduled kid I know - my mom laughs at how scheduled he is!!! He pratically poops the same time everyday on his schedule! lol

Mystically around a year - he started sleeping much much better (we also added a black out shade and white noise machine around 10-11 months). Now he is a fine sleeper except when he is teething - which seems pretty often since he is behind in his teeth!!

!!

My MIL said the other day, "your mommy wants you to be a robot" since I'm so strict about his schedule. But you know what, she can say what she wants, she's not the one who will be up all night if his schedule is messed up.

at around 6 months. that was the first time he slept more than 7 hours. he has off times even now due to teething or illness, but i can almost always get 9-10 hours out of him.
