Question about cheese

I took 8 month old DD to the pediatrician the other day. I asked if I can start giving her cheese. He said yes but "no salt" cheese.

Do any of you give DC "no salt" cheese? Is it something I really need to concern myself with? I figured with the little amount of cheese I'd be giving DD that the salt wouldn't be much of an issue.

So what kind of cheeses do you give Allison? Just American or others?

Re: Question about cheese

My Ped said nothing about salt in cheese. He did say not to give her salty things yet though.

We give her american, swiss, cheddar, ricotta, munster, mozzarella, grated cheese on her pasta

Thanks for your responses. I thought it was a little overboard myself! I'll try those cheeses.
