question about balance transfer checks???

I just recv'd some in the mail. I have a Visa card and I was wondering if I can pay another bill with them? Does it have to be the entire balance of the bill or can I just mail half the amount of the bill? I am so confused by these things.

I think that you can just use it as if it was a check, so it can be any amount. just make sure you read the fine print and that the interest rate is not insane.

yes it says 0% untill august 2007

You can make it out to as much/little as you'd like.

Just be aware that your visa card may charge a small percentage for using the check. Usually it is not more than $50 - something to keep in mind.

A friend of mine did this when he was short one month for his electric bill - he did not read the fine print, but he later told me it wasn't worth it after that charge.

Yes you can use it to pay another bill. They are treated just like a check would, and it will be charged to your VISA.
