Question

Did people who did not like Obama for 8 years feel as physically sick as I do about our current presidential regime?

I am not being snarky I am genuinely curious. Were you truly afraid and anxious about his and the administrations actions?

Re: Question

I can't answer your question for the last 8 years, but for the previous 8 years, I thought Bush wasn't a good president, but I was never fearful for what was about to happen every day. I rolled my eyes or shook my head at some of the things he did, but that was about it. I honestly believe he was trying to do right by a good portion of the population. Roughly half a lot of the times, but never .1%....

Same. I was often frustrated by many of GWB's decisions. But I didn't think he was a bad person, I didn't think he was deliberately trying to screw people over, or was vindictive. He clearly loved his wife and daughters and is a good family man.

Trump is rotten to the core, IMO. He only cares for himself, and maybe Ivanka. He is unfit, and I worry a lot what he's going to do as this investigation gets closer to him.

This.

I've NEVER given a thought to who was president because regardless of what party one I generally felt secure enough in the notion that the president would be doing a decent job, looking out for the country, and acting presidential. Aside from tuning in to a State of the Union address I felt that the president was mostly behind the scenes, doing his job, and running the country "good enough".

With Trump, I feel physically ill on a daily basis. I literally cringe EVERY time he opens his mouth. I am ashamed that this country elected into office such an incompetent, small minded, disrespectful, incoherent piece of $hit into the highest office in this country. Forget this crap about "fake news", it's all BS. This imbecile proves EVERY single day through his OWN WORDS, TWEETS, and ACTIONS that he doesn't have a clue what he's doing and he's in over his head. He's a disruptive and divisive force in this country and I have felt uneasy every day since he took office. I've NEVER felt like that about any other president before.

Re: Question

My DH and I are both Republicans and we've always voted Republican, except for the 2016 election. I was never fearful for our country or for fellow citizens under other Presidents. I always knew that even though I didn't always agreed with previous Presidents I knew they were always trying to do their best and what was in the best interest for the country. Not with Trump. He's unequivocally unfit, uneducated, and corrupt.

I actually fear for the current state of the country and where we're headed. I fear that the damage that this administration is doing will have a lasting impact that will take a very long time to undo. But by then the damage has already been done. I fear for my children's futures. My DH and I both have recently said that Trump is a lot worse than we could've ever imagined and it's only been a year that he's been in office. We're so disgusted by this administration and the GOP. There's still a long road ahead for this country under Trump and it looks very dark and bleak.

Thank you for your honesty. Do you think you have any influence on other republicans who do not think like you and still believe he and his followers are doing good?
