Q for those who have slate tile (REAL slate) in their bathroom (floor and/or wall)
If you have slate tiles on the floor and/or walls of your bathroom, how is the maintenance level.
Do you like it?
pros and cons?

i am interested this as well, plan on doing one bathroom, entry and kitchen with slate.

My mom has a slate hallway when you come into her house. She just washes and waxes it.
Usual stuff - Mr Clean for the mopping, and whatever wax for the waxing.
It's so durable. People track snow, salt, mud, water, etc on it all the time. My brothers are terrible at wiping their feet when they go to her house!!!
I assume it would be even less maintenance in a bathroom.

don't have in the baths but the foyer is slate. heavy traffic area and very easy to maintain. i swift or vacuum every couple of days (my lab sheds a lot) and mop using warm water and dish soap about every other week.
