we have been trying to wean hannah off of the soy formula and onto cows milk as per our ped. but we have noticed that she is super gassy, irritable her bms are loose and she is not really eating as much. i think we need to move to soy milk. i am waiting to hear what the ped says.

so my q is what brand of soy milk do you use?

another q: vanilla or regular?

Silk soy milk.

Stay away from anything produced by Hain (RICE DREAM, SOY DREAM, WESTSOY).

Major cross-contamination issues.

Only regular, I didn't want the added sugar.

I don't worry too much about whether or not it's fortified. She gets vitamins everyday.

I use Silk or sometimes the trader joe's when I'm there. Mostly the regular silk though. If they have the fortified DHA one I buy that if not I buy regular, I don't really think it makes a difference.

I either buy the plain Silk in the red carton or Stop & Shop's Nature's Promise plain soy milk.

We've only used the regular but now that K is 2 I may try the vanilla with him

I have tried the fortified version but it gave him gas pain and loose stools for some reason.

We do also stock up on the Stop & Shop in the shelf-stable boxes in case of emergency and one brand also has soy milk that comes in 8oz boxes which are also great in an emergency or to travel with.

We use the Enhanced Silk Soymilk. It's really fortified for all the good vitamins and minerals - it's not flavored either.
