PVC fencing... DIY?

I have a small section (approx 4-6 sections) that need to be put up.

anyone do it by themselves? is it difficult?

how much do you think it will cost?

I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself for the following reasons. If you do not put it in straight, you can cause damage to the ground around it (during storms it will shift). This will also cause it to cave in in some spots/sink into the ground over time. If it isn't perfectly level, the fence will not be even and can also cause damage in the future. For a small section like that it sholdn't be that expensive....check it out before trying to DIY....JMO

I've never done PVC fencing, just wood stockade. Wood fencing is pretty easy, IMO. I have to put up about 3 or 4 sections, plus a gate. It will probably take me about 3 hours or so, but that's because I'll be the only one doing all the work, including digging the holes, moving the fence and posts, leveling everything, pouring the concrete, building the gate, etc.

My dh plans on doing pvc fencing in our yard because he doesn't like to pay anyone to do work that he is capable of doing (or so he says). I have no idea how he will do it, or how much, but if you find out, let me know.

Prices are super low right now to have a company do your fence. We are getting a 6' fence around our entire backyard for very cheap - a lot cheaper than what our neighbors paid for their yard last year by the same company! And yes, it's the same product. I'd look into calling for estimates.

My friend just did PVC fence and got a GREAT deal! She used Family Fence Co in Bellmore. Prices have really come down recently.
