Has anyone had this?? I think I have it... I am itchy all over stomach and breast. I am having my husband go get me pine tar soap and try it. I stopped using reg bar soap and started using cetaphil. I hope this pine tar work. I also been trying to use hydrocortisone cream every once in a while.

Yes I had it. Pine Tar Soap from GNC works wonders. It smells like a BBQ but takes the itch away.

Talk to your doctor, mine said Benydrl was ok to take but be aware the baby does get sleepy from it. I never took it because I delivered that night

I didn't use any lotion because I found nothing helped.

How far along are you? Because not to be a downer but the rash will likely spread to your arms and legs if it is definitely pupps. By the time I gave birth my legs were covered my arms didn't get it bad. My doctor said it can spread everywhere but your face.

Re: pupp

I really thought I had this because I was SO itchy and in pain. I self diagnosed after googling and it turned out after seeing my doctor that I was wrong and really had shingles not pupp.

Do you have a lot of stretch marks on your stomach? That is usually how Pupps presents itself. By the time I gave birth it looked like a Tiger clawed my stomach.

I had this. Got it at 32 weeks. It was awful. Pine Tar soap really didn't do much for me. Jason Natural Aloe Vera gel in the fridge and Calamine Lotion helped me the most. I would have your OB check it out. Mine was able to tell within 5 seconds of looking at small bumps.

Re: pupp

oh man. I had PUPPs when I was pregnant with my twins. I had a terrible case. So much that I was scared of getting it again when I got pregnant with my 3rd. The pine tar soap helped a little (but not sure if it was in my mind-bc I was so desperate for anything to work).

Mine was terrible. I tried everything. Even ketchup. yes I subbed ketchup all over my huge pregnant belly out of desperation. Hydrocodisone did nothing. The over the counter has such a small % in it (no match for PUPPs). The only real cure for it is to deliver. and even then they say, some women can still have it. I was so itchy I couldn't sleep, I was scratching like crazy, had to sleep with socks on my hands. I was miserable and crying. I begged my OB to deliver me early (that's how awful I felt). I tried everything under the sun. Aloe, green tea, oatmeal bath. I spent probably about $500 trying to find something that would "sooth". Nothing worked.

My OB wound up referring me to a dermatologist and I ultimately had to go on a steroid cream about a week before I delivered. It was not ideal and they weren't thrilled with it, but I was scratching so much, they were worried I was going to get an infection. I had it on my stomach and the inside of my thighs. I would never wish that on my worst enemy.

I had this too! It was the worst! I wanted to rip my skin off. I tried everything I had at home for relief & I went out to purchase that Tar Soap which didn't really work for me. The derm couldn't see me for a week so I never went. I came up with the idea to use my older son's diaper rash cream on my stomach & it gave me good relief. Baby butt paste- try it!
