pumps question

Can anyone seriously wear these without your heel slipping out? Or does everyone have to use foot petals or something like that? I find that if I don't have a strap my foot constantly slips out. Even in flats where the back isn't rounded...

Re: pumps question

it depends on the shoe and how it runs.

Same here. I've always thought that if your heel slips, the shoes don't fit.

I thought so too, but then if I go down a size, the show is too small and my toes are crushed.

Re: pumps question

I have a similar problem but found if you buy Narrow heel that solves it. I was blessed to have VERY narrow heels & always as a kid my mom needed to get me shoes with straps.

Do you do it by eye, or does the shoe specify if it has a narrow heel, like a narrow width?

Re: pumps question

I was going to add that you probably have narrow heels, as well. I do and my shoes always slip off my feet. I put those cushions in the back and that helps a lot. In the cooler weather, I wear dress socks with my pumps and that helps too.

I have not heard of narrow heeled shoes and would be curious to know about that too.

Re: pumps question

It happens to me a lot. Also, i can't wear sling back. I love them, but the strap always falls down and then if I make it tighter, it's pushing my whole foot forward.

I always thought I just had weird heels.

You may have narrow feet, or just narrow heels. I have narrow heels, but the rest of my foot is wide, so i have to buy wide width, or sometimes a size up for the toes to fit, but them my heels always sliping out of shoes.

I always put all sorts of pads in my shoes, too.

You may need a ball of foot cushinon, so it will push your foot back a little, giving your toes more room, positioning your heel better. I also ad a heel cushion to take up some space.

I'm happy Mary Janes are in style this year. I love shoes with straps. ( I don't care if they are in style, but I jsut bneed them to be in stores!)
