Prenatal vitamin question
I went to a lousy ob/gyn last August, I asked about prenatals, and he said a good multi vitmain is good enoigh. It does not sit well with me, considering we are TTC, any thought on brands to use?
I had a previous RX from my old ob/gyn who left the practice and they made me sick, so I was taking flintstones and a folic acid pill. My sister said women's one a day....
HELP!

If you aren't comfortable with this, definitely get another opinion. Mine told me a regular multi is fine until you are pregnant, along with folic acid. I am taking a lot (4 mg.) for specific reasons, but I believe the dose recommended for most women is 800 mcg. That you can buy in the drugstore.
The other thing she recommended was a calcium supplement since I have problems with dairy.

hmm he could have at leat givinn you recommendations. I use prenatals
so I dont have an OTC I cna recommend. GL!

GNC makes OTC prenatals. Also, there is an OTC supplement (you take with your regular multi) called Efecta that supplies additional folic acid and DHA (Omega-3)
I didn't get prescription until I got my BFP- and even then, my Dr. told me the OTC with the Efecta was sufficient....
