Post-Partum bleeding (and BCP) Question--Please help--I did a search and can't find this answer!!

I delivered via c-section on May 8. Did bleed for a few weeks, had a 3 wk appt with Dr to ck things, he did a pa and gave me BCP. I asked if I needed to wait for my first period to start the pill, he said no, I could start that sunday. I started the sample pack and bleeding stopped.

I am due to get AF this tuesday, but have been bleeding for a week now and it's gotten heavier.

I was on BCP for years before getting PG, and anytime I stopped/started BCP I had to wait for AF.

Is this normal for (A) post partum being on BCP and (B) starting pill before getting AF??

i started before AF as well, but have had no bleeding, but right before i took bcp like a week before i was bleeding again, dr. said it was most likely AF...............

don't know if that helps but i tried!!
