Poop question
Since Luka has been on formula which we are going on 10 days of the Similac Soy he has only had 6 or 7 poopy diapers. He doesnt suffer from gas but on Monday (his last bowel movement) he was really pushing hard to get it out and I felt so bad for him. Do you think it has to do with the formula. My SIL said that he should be going 1-3 times a day. Has anyone else experienced this.

I think formula, compared to breastmilk, tends to bind them a bit. My DD only poops once a day, sometimes once every other day. My peditrician said it's normal.
I forgot to add she went 3 days without pooping once and I freaked, she seems to be straining. But I was told babies are only constipated if they poop little hard pebbles. I called the doctor when this happened and I had to stimulate her with the rectal thermometer and she went instantly. I just reread your post and if he doesn't go by tonight I would give your doctor a call.

He is straining when he poops but it is the consistancy of like tomatoe paste (sorry TMI).
