Poll: When you see Veterans selling raffles or flowers or whatever...
do you buy them? I always do. We have all Veterans working at my school as custodians, and it breaks my heart because they HAVE to work. One of them is 80 years old! So I always make it a point to stop and buy a raffle ticket or a flower or whatever it is they're selling.

I always do also and I always buy stuff from little kids (like a bake sale, raffles for school, Girl Scout cookies, etc.)

Yes there is one who I grew up seeing and he asks for donations and hands out the little flowers in front of my bank all the time. Both DH and I always buy one everytime we see him.

I buy them, and tell them to keep the flowers so that they have more to sell to the next person 
I wouldn't have the heart to chuck it later on.

the only place I have ever seen this is at the Giants games, they sell american flag pins...
Dh and I always buy whatever it is they are sellling... its the least we can do IMO

Yes...my Grandpa was a WWII Vet and was part of the VFW and was one of those little old men trying to get people to buy the Poppies...it reminds me of him
