Pleeeeeeeaaaase help! How to get toddler to stay in bed??

Brody, 2 1/2 , climbed out of his crib the other night. So, to avoid injury, I got a toddler bed. He will not sleep in it, or even stay in it for even a minute.

What do we do????

After 3 months of ds getting out of his bed, we put a hook and eye latch on his door. It took a few days of intense crying and it was all over. We have to lock him in every night :(

Its a battle I don't choose to fight.

She slept on the living room floor then I'd move her into her toddler bed.

Now she'll go into her room to go to sleep but sleep on the floor and I'll move her into the toddler bed.

Either way, I'm with her as she nods off.

Its boring for me to lay there with her while she falls asleep and some nights I pass out too, but the wants to feel me (or hubby) against her as she falls asleep.

Once she's out she will either roll off the bed and sleep on the floor or wake up and one of us goes in there and lays with her the floor until she falls asleep again.

I actually have a sort of 'bed' for me because my hips were killing me! Chat Icon

ETA: I must say 90% she sleeps on the floor in her room. Before it was 100% on her piled high blanket/mat bed area in the living room but all on her own she realized she'd rather be in her room. I think she'll get to a point where she'll just 'get there' ya know? From a co-sleeping mom, its great she's in her own room and happy about it.

I can't lock her in tho.. Personal childhood memory so I can't Chat Icon
