***PLEASE***MMR shot, BTDT mom's, need some help...
OK, so we're trying not to over-react over here. Jack had his MMR shot a week ago Thurs (15.5 mos). They said the reaction would appear 7-10 days from the shot
Day 7, slight fever
Day 8, slight fever
Day 9, 103.2 fever...give tylenol, after 1 hour, 102.1 fever...2 little red dots on his tush
Day 10, next morning, 100.9...by the time we get him to the DR at 10:30 AM 99.8
Today is day 11, seemed ok all day...went to change him for bed...100.4 and little red dots ALL OVER his chest/belly??? WTH????
DR wants us to bring him in tomorrow AM...
IS THIS NORMAL??? please say yes

i have no advice as i havent gotten to the stage / shot yet but i just wanted to send you some 
im sure everything will be just fine and i hope your little one feels better soon .
i hate all these shots they really suck

We're just kind of freaked out....if I didn't know any better....it looks like he has the measels

MMR is a live vaccine so it is possible to get a mild case of the illness from the vaccine.

He hasn't really had reactions before....maybe just a slight fever but never any rashes.
so what do we do if he has the measels now?

why would he have the measles??? has he been exposed to anyone with them ??????

DS just got the MMR & chicken pox shot yesterday and tonight I noticed two red dots on the back of his leg.

YEs, yes, yes...we just got over this and it happened exactly as your situation. After having 72 hours of 104 fever (with Motrin and Tylenol), DS broke out with a rash (day11-12). The Dr. confirmed that it was the measles from the MMR/ The rash lasted probably about 5 days then they were all gone.
Oh...I totally know what you're going through right now!

YES!!!! only my anthony reacted to it this way.. his temp went to over 105. was in the hospital and everything. tylenol motrin never helped it!!!

My ds had his MMR on 1/3 and yesterday he had red dots all over his face. Today they were lighter on his face, but also on his shoulders and arms. But he never had a fever. I guess I should have called the dr today but since he had no fever, was acting normally and his face was looking better I didn't think about it too much.
