Please recommend your combination/booster car seat! Need to get 2 this weekend!
My kids are almost 4 and 36 pounds, and 2.5 and 30 pounds.
We currently have a Britax Marathon and a Graco Nautilus but I have to get rid of them due to a car accident.
Insurance is covering 2 new seats. I'm happy with the Nautilus, and may get 2 more, but do you recommend any other booster seat? It needs to be the kind that I can eventually take the back off when they get older.
I don't see the point of getting another Marathon since DD is 2.5 and can go into a booster. Thanks!!

How much does your 2.5 year old weigh? I ask bc I though boosters weren't recommended before 40 lbs and age 3-4.
If you like the Nautilus, take a look at the Britax Frontier which gets great reviews too.
ETA: Oops, I just saw you posted your kids' ages. My bad. I would double check the recommendations first before you switch your DD to a booster.

Tarabelle, for my own curiosity since my DS is over 2 and only 29 lbs, what's the earliest recommended age/weight for something like the Nautilus or Frontier? I wasn't sure if I could switch him by next year or not. Thanks!

Which do you think is the best of those? DD is the only one not in a booster yet - but she is only 37 or 38 lbs and maybe 42 at best. I don't want to bother with another convertible since she won't be in it much longer. The straps on my recaro look like they might be fraying a tiny bit so I want to get something new asap. BTW we have a CRV if that makes any difference. I have tried her sitting in her friends booster once to see how she fit and the straps were in the correct locations.

I wouldn't put your 2 year old in a booster at 30 lbs. Other than that I have no recommendations, though I will probably have to do the switch soon as well. My kids are in the Britax marathon and 3.5 an dprobably about to reach the height limit

not a regular booster--the 5 point harness booster. Sorry, I should have stated that! It starts at 20 pounds, so at 30 pounds and 2.5, my DD will be fine. We got that for DS when he was a little over 2 and about 27 pounds after the people at BBB recommended it to us. We love it, but I want to see if there's anything better.
DD will remain in the 5 point harness until she's in middle school!  Then we'll go to the belt positioning!
