for cars

it doesn't need to be top of the line, but I do like the touch-screen feature.

both fh and my parents have garmins. they have gone down in price so you can find they around $200 online.

I researched a lot and went with the Garmin. It has the touch screen and so far, we really love it. Took it up to Maine and it really worked for us well.

My DH is into these toys so I've used alot Chat Icon I LOVE the Garmins.. hated the TomToms and Magellans... i found the Garmins to be the easiest to use and the most accurate... right now I have a Nuvi 660 and it's perfect!

My bil has a garmin nuvi 360 it is great. They also have the nuvi 350 which doesn't have bluetooth capabilities.

We used it in Ireland as well as it was fantastic

This will be my xmas gift to DH. Where can you find the Garmin (he was looking at the magellan, but if most of you recommend Garmin, maybe that would be the better route).

My friend has a Tom Tom 1XL Portable touch screen i think its about $349 -- but what makes it stand out among others is that it gives you up to date traffic & weather updates.

We used it to go upstate in the boondocks and it was working GREAT even up in the mountains!

We have had a Garmin for about a year and love it. I don't know how we did it before having it!!!

Dad has a Magellan that he got at Radio Shack for $199. It does the job. He loves it. I heard the Tom Tom is excellent.

My next car will have built in navigation.
