Hummus Place in the east village...St Marks Place. This place is GREAT! All Hummus and I swear it totally fills you up! And the homemade lemonade is awesome too!!
Although I'm not sure what you mean by "fun." I mean, there are no singing waiters or anything. It's the cuisine thats fun at this place. But only if you like Hummus obviously.
A Great Irish bar and Restaurant right near Penn is Tir Na Nog. 8th Ave and 32nd. Across the street from Penn. Usually have live music and great food and drinks.
