Please recc your pool "float" for around 22 month old...

The one we have from last year seems a bit babyish now and I'm not even sure what the weight limit is since we don't have the instructions anymore - its the float from one step ahead that has the little canopy on it but the one on their website now is different.

Anyway - the wearable floaty things say not suitable for children under 2 and DS won't be 2 until the end of the summer...

What should i get him so he can hang out in the pool and not sink Chat Icon If you can also post where you got it that would be great!

I'm going through the same thing right now and can't seem to find the perfect thing at this age. (Well, it may be my fault because he WANTS to go under the water and refuses to stay upright.) He climbs out of the floatie with the canopy that he used as a baby last year.

He hates water wings. He wears the suit with the tube (that looks like a tire) around his belly, but he still flops over. And those suits with the built in lifevest goes over his face. Chat Icon Chat Icon

if its the spring float then the weight goes to 28lbs.

we are attempting to use it again this summer for DS... he wont be 2 until middle of Aug.

if it doesnt work we may try the life vest type float that has a strap in the crotch area so it doesnt slide over his head

DD was 19 mos when we went to NC on vacation. The arm floaties were perfect for her. She had a blast swimming around the pool.

Last summer (DS is also a September baby), DS wore the arm floaties. While he was just short of 2 yo, I felt like he was comfortable enough in the water to wear them. We were always within arms reach of him but at least I didn't have to hold him at all times. This was especially helpful as I was 9 months pregnant Chat Icon
This summer, DS has been wearing a vest like this:

**Just make sure whatever vest you buy has the strap that goes between the legs to keep it from sliding up

Not a "float" but I bought these for my boys. My youngest is 26 months. We go to our friends house alot who has a pool and these have worked great. It has removable foam inserts.

I bought them in TJ Maxx for $5.99 a piece. Chat Icon

DS is 2 but he is heavier than the max weight for the floats his age group.

This is VERY annoying.

The float we had last year is up to 28 Lbs. Well, he 31 Lbs.

So all floats for 2 years old kids are too small or cannot hold his weight and the stuff for 3+ is completely too advanced.

I just got him a "floating" bathing suit. It's a one piece. Luckily he has a very long torso, otherwise that would not fit him either. I guess I am going to have to hold him in my arms now in the pool.
