It's hard to get a picture of the whole room because of the angles. We have cathedral ceilings and 3 skylights which you can't see in the photos.

Okay, I just found this pic of our dining room when we first moved in! The lady who lived there before us painted and didn't even move her China cabinet, hence the large unpainted spot on the left wall!
After putting in french doors, redoing the wood floors, putting up wainscotting and painting it a blue color - I did NOT like it at all  :
We settled on the red and love it now! This picture is about 2 years old now, I should take a good updated picture again!

I will be moving to NC in a year or two and I plan on buying all new furniture because when I bought my present home in LI 9 years ago, my taste was soooo different!!
I LOVE what you did with your dining room. I would LOVE to see the other rooms, if possible!!

I like the red so much better! It looks so much warmer. I have always heard that you should not use blues and greens in a dining area because it does not stimulate your appetite. Blues are supposed to be a good soothing, relaxing color and not sure about green!
