Please critique my xmas menu. Suggestions?
Keep in mind I am trying to keep things really simple. This is my first time hosting any holiday and I want to enjoy the day as much as possible since it is DS's first christmas. We are having 11 people.
Appetizers:
veggies/dip
mixed nuts
chips/dip or chips/salsa
shrimp cocktail
First course:
Tossed Salad
Soup (I was thinking minestrone but if anyone has another suggestion of an easy crockpot soup let me know)
Dinner biscuits
Main Course:
Pork Loin Roast (if anyone has any recipes I'd appreciate it)
Mashed potatoes with gravy
Squash and apples
Carrots
Stringbeans with mushrooms
Cranberry sauce
Dessert:
I still need to figure out. My mom said she will bring dessert and I can ask ILs to bring something also. I usually bake TONS of cookies but I don't know how much time I will have for that.
