Planning 1st birthday

I want to start planning. Where do I begin? We have a hall and I know what theme I want. Where should I go from here?

Re: Planning 1st birthday

Sorry, no help here. Ours is on Sunday. We mailed the invitations- I ordered them blank & printed them myself. Party is in our backyard. Ordering cake & catering (sandwiches & salads) on Wednesday & going to the party store for paper goods tomorrow. End of planning.

I would look into entertainment and favors at this point.

We have the hall and the theme. Now I'm planning the menu (we're doing the cooking ourselves).

Re: Planning 1st birthday

Jeremy's party is September 15 and so far we have:

Picked a place
signed a contract (it is at a restaurant)
ordered invitations
bought stamps
stuffed and sent invitations Chat Icon
ordered centerpieces

We ordered #1 invitations (they are so cute!) but we are doing a truck/construction theme. I didn't go with the truck invites because we didn't want to get all truck stuff as gifts.

The centerpieces are CAT trucks. We will tie balloons to them and have assorted candy (going to get from Costco/BJs) coming out of them. They are simple but fun for a boy.

We are actually slowly ordering the trucks as we find them on sale. We have most of them already but still need a few more.

Edited to add:
called the entertainment place but haven't booked them just yet...
