Places on LI....
We want to stay local, so what are some good things to do this weekend on LI?
Recommended outdoor eatteries?
Places, etc?
(staying away from hamptons that's for sure!)

yeah I was thinking of going to Sweetbrair nature center and then lunch in port jeff, walk around on day of the weekend.

I love Port Jeff and it's so much easier to get in and out of then the "Hampton's"

How about kayaking in Riverhead? (That's what we're doing with friends visiting from Boston).
Beaches....and look in Newsday on Friday, they list all kinds of activities - outdoor concerts, garden tours, etc.

Good point about waiting for the friday edition of newsday.
I don't think kayaking...did 17 miles on sunday at kittatiny...hands are still recouping from blisters

How about staying at the Blue Dolphin on the North Fork? There's so much to do out there! There's Greenport that you can go stroll around in, wineries, beaches, etc.
